The Pre-Order Process
A key part of the Tom Smarte Initiative is that in order to help reduce waste, we only make what is needed.
No overstocks, no reserve inventory, no clearance sales or Black Friday promotions.
To this end, we have embarked on a series of collaborative projects made using surplus materials or off-cuts that naturally occur when making clothing or accessories. We aim to produce only from what has already been produced. By nature, these are limited editions with small production runs.
Each of these items will only be available by pre-ordering, limited by time and / or quantity with an estimated shipping date displayed next to the 'pre-order' button.
24 hours before a pre-order campaign goes live, an email newsletter will be sent to all subscribers, letting them know when pre-orders will be open.
Once the pre-order campaign ends, the production process immediately begins. All orders are then shipped when ready, in line with the estimated shipping date, on a first ordered first shipped basis.
All pre-orders can be expected to be shipped by the estimated shipping date at the latest. However, if we anticipate that this may be delayed beyond 10 days, we will email you as soon as possible to advise of this with a revised shipping date. In this case, you will have the option to cancel your order if you so wish and a refund will be made to the same method of payment you used to purchase the pre-ordered item.
